Kongsberg, the famous skitown of Norway, has a modern alpine ski-area. One hour drive west of Oslo, and you are there. , four of them more than a mile long, has a perfect mixture of easy, medium and difficult terrain.
Long trails
A new Snowcross-area with halfpipe, funboxes, quarterpipes and big jumps are important for the new group of participants in wintersports. Kongsberg Skisenter also has a spesial slalom-hill for competition, and a separate hill and lift for children.You can be sure that you don´t have to spend your time waiting in line at the lifts.
Three of the lifts are 1600 meters long. One of them is a quadruple chairlift with detatchable chairs (express lift). The other two are traditional T-bars. We also have a lift for the competition hill, and, as we have already mentioned, one for the children´s area.A complete rental department with alpine, telemark, touring equipment, and snowboard is at your disposal. A roomy lodge is part of your guarantee that your stay in Kongsberg Skisenter will be comfortable.If you go by car, you will find free parking at the bottom of the lifts. There is allso a sporting store next to the skirental.
Train or Bus to Kongsberg Skisenter from Oslo/ Drammen:
If you choose to take the train or bus, you will have quite a reasonable trip. For NOK 430 by the TIMEkspressen you will get a round trip ticket Oslo - Kongsberg and an all-day skipass in Kongsberg Skisenter. If you bring your train ticket to the ticket office you will get a 20% discount on daypasses.
To get from the Train/ busstation you can take the skibuss ( no 405) that goes every 5 minutes past the hours or the taxi between the train-station/bus-stop and the ski-centre.( about NOk 140 for 4 seats)
You can buy tickets for the bus on the TIMExpressen bus and for the train, you buy the tickets on the railwaystation.
Buss from Østfold, Vestfold and Grenland:
If you would like to go by buss to Kongsberg Skisenter from Østfold, Vestfold or Grenland, click on the "buss/tog/båt" buttom and call the operators to book a seat. These direct busses are going every weekend and holiday.
Daypass goes from 9 am to 9 pm!
